I'm Megan. I was born and raised in Kansas, went to college in Nebraska, and currently live in Los Angeles. My friends and family are my world. |
I try to promote worth causes often on this little corner of the internet, but today’s cause is a really unbelievable one. Project LUCY was started by my cousin’s niece. She is 8 years old and lives in Nashville, TN.
Lucy heard about children in Uganda who have to break pencils into 4 pieces and share them because they don’t have enough pencils in their schools. She decided to start a pencil drive and has already collected over 14,000 pencils. Now she is trying to raise money to build a school in Uganda.
PLEASE help Lucy. I can only imagine how completing a project like this at such a young age will positively affect the course of her life. Let’s pave the way for Lucy and a lifetime of humanitarian service.
If you don’t have $10 to spare, reblog this because I bet some of your followers do. Thanks everyone!!
This is amazing and you should check it out! I love when kids are inspired to change the world and their parents encourage it and help them achieve their goals.
Warm fuzzies already this dreary Tuesday morning.
